1966 Chevy Suburban custom tailgater

We usually don’t use this as a forum to sell vehicles, but we can make an exception for this one. Jim Arnott sent us his 1966 Chevrolet Suburban, which is also for sale. Sure this may be a nice example of an SUV built before SUVs were cool (or even called SUVs,) but this is the vehicle every football tailgater has dreamed about.

Open up the rear double doors, and let the good times roll. Behind the second row of seats there is a custom box with a refrigerator and a built-in cooler. Hanging from the rear doors is a grill and mini table. So its got everything to keep the party going, but what about cleaning up? That’s this truck’s true party piece -- a fully functional sink/faucet that reveals itself via push-button electric slide.

There is a very narrow market for classic trucks because it is hard to justify keeping a pristine example of a vehicle meant for rough duty.  But this one seems to hit an interesting mark.  This '66 Suburban's V8 is geared to haul large loads, but the interior is more customized than a lot of hot rods we've seen.  Basically, we've come to the conclusion that  any of us who have grown up going on family camping trips with more than two siblings and at least one animal would have begged for a vehicle like this.

Jim has plenty more pictures of the whole set up on his site.
